The content of the brochure “Learning Active
Citizenship”, compiled by the Hungarian team, was presented and
valued by the participants.
The linguistic (idiom) workshop treated the completion of the English entries of the Pocket multilingual dictionary by the European team of students with words and expressions in their mother tongues.
The teachers centred their attention on the Hungarian educational system and the Waldorf Pedagogy by attending a presentation, discussing about European educational systems by comparing them, visiting the school, studying school documents and attending classes together with students.
The field activity “Volunteering in Hungary” required the participants to renovate a playground in a disadvantaged area of the city. The European team of students painted the fences, cleaned the toys, did the spring cleaning at the sports fields, planted flowers and a tree symbolizing “a hope for the future”.
In another workshop the teachers had the opportunity to
discuss about the progress of the project and to evaluate some aspects of the
joint work.
The students also had a workshop “Here is the end if it!” where they expressed their opinions on the project, evaluated different segments of it and completed a questionnaire.
The press dissemination “Well done!” offered both the students and the teachers the occasion to share their experience and ideas on the project.
The cultural and socializing activities incorporated visits to historical sites, places of natural beauty and spots where to get in touch with Hungaricum – the Hungarian life style and landmarks.
